I am a native of Chicago by way of the ghetto. Raised by a single Mom that gave me the strength to encounter just about anything. I graduated from private school in which I entered the workforce at 14 years old and helped pay for. After graduating High School, I attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. I studied Fashion merchandising and marketing at Sothern with a minor in African American Studies. Starting my career in store and department management I learned a lot but always worked within the community in which I lived. This lead me to be recruited by the Compton fellowship in which I returned to school and received a bachelor of arts and education and became a licensed educator. After moving to Colorado, I utilized my skills in art, community activism and education to produce new classes that combine art and activism in an empowering educational atmosphere. This my mission and my passion to empower those who feel defeated at times.
