Mary Madison is an avid fiber artist. She is a weaver, quilter and potter. She is the author of “Plantation Slave Weavers Remember-An Oral History.” Madison was the Founder and Executive Director of the Berwick Art Center in Berwick, Nova Scotia. She also created and managed Textiles Arts and Vets, a fiber arts center in Colorado Springs designed to introduce veterans and family members to weaving as a creative and stress-reducing endeavor. In addition to being a fiber arts instructor, Madison is the Outreach Coordinator for Textiles West and the Textiles West Project Coordinator for Military Arts Connection. Madison also has a MS Degree in Organizational Development and an AAS Degree in Veterinary Medicine.
