Since 1981, StableStrides has provided horse-centered activities for individuals from the ages of two to over ninety two who have adaptive needs for the purpose of promoting positive physical, behavioral, cognitive, emotional, and social development. Our mission is to significantly improve the lives of individuals through a connection with horses and we serve children, teens, adults, veterans, service members and their families with adaptive needs through Therapeutic Riding, Mental Health Services, and Hippotherapy. Clients come to StableStrides independently and through referrals from other local agencies in the Pikes Peak community, as well as several surrounding areas. As the oldest and largest equine assisted activities and therapies center in Southern Colorado, we are also the only Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) Premier Accredited Center in the area. We have a passion for healing and believe that horses enhance the healing process in a way that nothing else can.
